About this piece
This is a copper water bottle with a narrow neck and a screw cap. The seller says the chant Yoga Yoga Yogeshwaraya is engraved on the body along with a trishul. We could not make out the engraving in the photos, which show a smooth copper body with a light brushed finish.
It holds 950 ml. Keeping drinking water in copper vessels is an old custom in many Indian homes, and this bottle is sold for that use. It suits someone who wants a plain copper bottle for daily water and likes the idea of a chant on it.
How it is used
Many homes keep drinking water in copper vessels. In Jyotish writing, copper is traditionally linked with the Sun and with Mars, which is why copper items appear on some puja and remedy lists. This bottle is meant for everyday water, and the seller describes no ritual use.
