About this service
This is a booked ritual, not a physical product. The seller says a local priest at Arail in Prayagraj chants the Chandra (Moon) mool mantra 11,000 times and performs a milk abhishek of Bhagwan Shiv, the ritual bathing of the Shivling with milk.
It is offered for a couple, and the sankalp takes two names with gotra. The ritual venue is near Someshwar Mahadev Mandir, close to the Sangam in Uttar Pradesh. The photo is an illustration of milk being poured over a Shivling.
How it is used
A jaap is the repeated chanting of a mantra, and an abhishek is the bathing of the Shivling with milk. Mondays, known as Somvar, are traditionally linked with both Chandra and Shiva. The date is chosen with the seller over WhatsApp.
