About this piece
A very small brass piece: a square plate with the Navagraha yantra, the nine planets set in a grid, raised on four short feet like a chowki, the low seat used in puja. The seller lists it at 22 mm by 22 mm and 7 mm high.
The photos show it in gold-coloured brass, on cream cloth with a polished black stone beside it. At this size it fits a small altar shelf and is easy to carry.
How it is used
The seller says to place the chowki in the middle of the puja altar and recite the Navagraha mantra. Many homes begin a puja with the Navagraha, the nine planets, and a yantra is a place to focus on them.
Looking after it
- Wipe with a dry soft cloth.
- Keep away from water, which marks brass.
