About this piece
An ubtan is a traditional Indian powder used on the face in place of a soap or scrub. This one from the seller is sold in a 40 g jar.
The seller says it is a blend of fresh, hand-pounded and sun-dried ingredients: petals of the Indian rose, cashews, pistachios and saffron. The jar in the photos is bright pink with a gold lid, and the second photo shows its white back label.
How it is used
Ubtans are traditionally mixed with a liquid such as milk, yoghurt, rosewater or water into a paste, applied to the face and then washed off. Follow the directions on the label for this one.
