About this book
The Kalpa Sutra is a Jain scripture traditionally ascribed to Bhadrabahu. It covers the lives of the Tirthankaras and, in Svetambara practice, is read during Paryushan. This is an English edition. The cover credits Kastur Chand Lalwani.
It was published by Motilal Banarsidass in 2014, as a hardcover of 207 pages with seven black and white illustrations. It is a suitable edition for a student who wants a scholarly English text.
How it is used
Used to read or study the Kalpa Sutra in English. In many Jain homes the text is heard or read around Paryushan, so some families keep a copy for that time.
