About this piece
Kansa is an alloy of copper and tin, used in India for plates, bowls and tumblers for a very long time. This is a single handmade kansa glass from Pure Source India, with a smooth gold coloured finish outside and in.
The seller's size photo marks the glass at roughly 3.5 inches tall. It suits someone starting a small kansa collection, or adding a drinking glass to a kansa thali set.
How it is used
Used as an everyday drinking glass at the table. In some homes kansa vessels are also kept for festival meals and puja.
Looking after it
- Wash by hand with mild soap and dry well.
- Kansa tarnishes with time and can be polished.
