About this piece
This idol shows Shani Dev, the Navagraha linked with Saturn. The seller describes him decked with jewels and holding a club and a trident, and says the bronze is shining and artistically crafted.
The photos show a four-armed crowned figure standing on a stepped dais, in a pale bronze finish. It suits a home altar, a living area or a work desk.
How it is used
Saturday is the weekday traditionally linked with Shani, and blue is the colour associated with him. Idols like this are placed on a home altar or a work desk, and many homes recite the planet's mantra in front of them.
Looking after it
- Dust with a soft dry cloth.
- Avoid harsh polish on the carved details.
