About this piece
Kubera is the god of wealth and the guardian of the north in Hindu tradition. This small brass statue shows him seated on a square stepped base, with a raised hand, a crown and rich jewellery, in a warm gold finish.
It is 7.5 cm (3 inch) tall and weighs 110 g, so it fits easily on a shelf, a desk or a small altar. The seller offers more than one size.
How it is used
Many homes keep a Kubera image on a shelf or altar, often placed in the north part of the house, and set it out at Diwali and Dhanteras. It is also given as a gift for a new home or shop.
