About this piece
Kubera is the god of wealth in Hindu tradition and the keeper of treasures. This is a very small brass figure of him seated on a lotus base, with a tall pointed crown and a bright polished finish. The photos show it on a wooden surface with a carved background.
The figure is 7 cm tall and weighs 200 g, small enough for a desk or a corner of the puja shelf. The photos show the front, a side angle and the back.
How it is used
Many homes keep a Kubera image in the north of a room or in the puja area, and he is remembered with Lakshmi at Dhanteras and Diwali.
Looking after it
- Dust with a soft dry cloth.
- Polish occasionally with a brass cleaner.
