About this service

Thirunageswaram, near Kumbakonam in Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu, has the Naganathaswamy Temple, the Navagraha temple of Rahu. Rahu has his own shrine here, where he is shown with his two consorts.

Abhishekam is the ritual bathing of a deity's image. Through, the temple's priests pour milk over Rahu's image while his mantras are chanted. The sankalp carries up to four names, your gotra and any birth stars. Proof comes on WhatsApp as the temple receipt or a short confirmation.

How it is used

The seller says tradition favours Rahu kalam, the daily period linked with Rahu, for this abhishekam, and Sunday's Rahu kalam especially. Devotees also book around Rahu peyarchi or on their birth star. The date and time slot are confirmed on WhatsApp.
