About this piece
The Thoth tarot is the deck made by Aleister Crowley and the artist Frieda Harris, whose names are on the box. The seller says it carries the kabbalistic and astrological attributions described in Crowley's The Book of Thoth.
This listing is the Pocket Swiss edition, published by U.S. Games Systems and distributed in the US. The cards in the photos are rich in colour and symbol, so it suits a reader who already likes a deeper, esoteric deck.
How it is used
A tarot deck is traditionally shuffled, cut and laid out in spreads by a reader, either for themselves or for others. Thoth readers often work alongside Crowley's Book of Thoth, which is a separate book and not part of this listing.
