Most free kundali sites give you a chart wheel, a Vimshottari table and a paragraph of prose. This one is built differently, and until now nothing on the site said so. These pages are the documentation: what the calculator computes, which classical rule each result comes from, and where the numbers were checked against something outside our own code.

What runs where
This matters if you care whether a result is reproducible.
Computed in your browser, from the planetary longitudes, with no network call: the dosha engine, the yoga engine, the nine nakshatra dasha systems, the upagrahas, and the deep Ashtakavarga layers (Prastara, Trikona Shodhana, Ekadhipatya Shodhana, Kakshya and Kakshya transit). The source files are plain, unminified JavaScript served from this site, so every rule the tool applies can be read directly.
Fetched from an ephemeris service: the base chart, the sidereal planetary longitudes, the divisional chart placements, Shadbala and the Vimshottari period tree. That service is VedAstro, which is Swiss Ephemeris backed.
The split is deliberate. The positions come from an established ephemeris. The interpretation layer, which is where most tools become opaque, runs in front of you.
Four claims, and how to check each one
One: every dosha shows its rule and its cancellations, tested against your chart. The engine runs all 31 conditions on every chart and prints the ones you do not have alongside the ones you do. Where a dosha is present, its classical parihara list is shown, and each cancellation is separately tested and marked as applying or not applying to your specific placements. Our own competitive review of the category, checked against vendor pages on 1 August 2026, found that the professional desktop tools barely treat doshas at all, that the Indian mass-market tools treat them shallowly, and that no product we could find shows the triggering rule and the cancellation logic side by side. Two: the dasha systems say when they do not apply. Eight of the nine are conditional dashas. The classical texts do not apply them to every chart. The tool computes each timeline, then reports whether the condition is met, not met, or cannot be determined from the data held. Three systems deliberately return “cannot determine”. Three: the Ashtakavarga numbers were checked against an outside engine. The bindu output was compared cell by cell against VedAstro’s own production Bhinnashtakavarga across eleven charts spanning 1955 to 2004 and eight countries in both hemispheres. 924 cells, 924 matches. Four: the full report exports as a PDF, free. No watermark, no account, no page limit. In the report-driven part of this market, the long-form PDF is often the product itself rather than a feature of it.
What the tool does not do
An inventory is only useful if it is honest about the gaps.
- No birth-time rectification, no prashna or horary module, and no general muhurta finder.
- No saved profiles and no account history. Nothing about your birth data is stored on a server.
- One ayanamsa, Lahiri. There is no switcher yet.
- North Indian chart style only. South and East Indian styles are not built.
- Three of the nine conditional dashas cannot have their applicability determined, because the inputs those conditions need are not computed. The tool says so on the page rather than guessing.
- The dosha engine covers 31 conditions. The classical literature contains more.
- Sade Sati and the Ashtakavarga transit reading depend on a current transit position. Where that is unavailable, the panel says the input is missing instead of printing a result anyway.
Where sources disagree, the panel names the disagreement. The method page sets out the general rule we follow, and the corrections log records the errors we have found in our own output.

↳ Is this kundali tool actually free, or free until the report?
Free throughout, including the PDF export of the full report. There is no account, no watermark, no page cap and no upsell inside the output. The remedial guidance is included rather than gated, which is worth stating, because in the Indian report model the remedies and the long PDF are frequently the paid product rather than a free extra.
↳ Do I need to sign up or give an email address?
No. The tool takes a birth date, a birth time and a birth place, computes, and shows the result. Nothing is stored on a server, which also means there are no saved profiles to return to. If you want to keep a chart, export the PDF.
↳ How accurate are the calculations?
The planetary positions come from a Swiss Ephemeris backed service, the same computational base professional software uses. The Ashtakavarga bindu tables were separately verified against a production engine across eleven charts, 924 cells with 924 matches, and the record of that check is published. The interpretation layers run in your browser in unminified JavaScript, so any rule the tool applies can be read directly.
↳ Which ayanamsa does it use?
Lahiri, the standard sidereal ayanamsa used across Indian Jyotisha. There is no switcher at present, so if you work with Raman, KP or True Chitra the degrees here will differ from your usual output by roughly the difference between those ayanamsas. That is listed as a known limit rather than left for you to discover.
