Most free kundali sites give you a chart wheel, a Vimshottari table and a paragraph of prose. This one is built differently, and until now nothing on the site said so. These pages are the documentation: what the calculator computes, which classical rule each result comes from, and where the numbers were checked against something outside our own code.

Chart and position work, 16 panels
Summary, Panchang at birth, the main charts (D1 Rashi and D9 Navamsa), Chandra and Surya charts, planetary positions, the 15 divisional charts, Sudarshan Chakra, house analysis, positional dignity, planetary motion and speed, the nakshatra lord chain, incoming aspects, outgoing aspects, planetary relationships, and Arudha padas.
The 15 charts are D1 Rashi, D2 Hora, D3 Drekkana, D7 Saptamsha, D9 Navamsa, D10 Dashamsha, D12 Dwadashamsha, D16 Shodashamsha, D20 Vimshamsha, D24 Chaturvimshamsha, D27 Bhamsha, D30 Trimshamsha, D40 Khavedamsha, D45 Akshavedamsha and D60 Shashtyamsha. Every one is worked out by the same rules as the Divisional Charts calculator, which does not draw the D4 Chaturthamsha, so this report does not either.

General predictions, written from the rules in your own chart, and Horoscope Predictions: classical readings from older astrology texts for your whole chart (each planet’s house and sign, the house lords, yogas and other combinations, and your Moon sign), worked out from your own chart and put in plain words, grouped by life area. Readings about death, lifespan or the loss of family members are left out.
What runs where
This matters if you care whether a result is reproducible.
Computed in your browser, and nothing about your chart is fetched from any other service: the planetary longitudes and the rising sign (from the site’s own NASA JPL DE440 tables, with the Lahiri ayanamsa and the mean node, the same tables every calculator on this site reads), all the divisional charts, Shadbala, the dosha engine, the yoga engine, the Vimshottari period tree and the other nakshatra dasha systems, the upagrahas, Arudha padas, and the deep Ashtakavarga layers (Prastara, Trikona Shodhana, Ekadhipatya Shodhana, Kakshya and Kakshya transit). The source files are plain, unminified JavaScript served from this site, so every rule the tool applies can be read directly.
Because the kundali and the calculators read the same tables and the same rules, they give the same numbers for the same birth.
Four claims, and how to check each one
One: every dosha shows its rule and its cancellations, tested against your chart. The engine runs all 33 conditions on every chart and prints the ones you do not have alongside the ones you do. Where a dosha is present, its classical parihara list is shown, and each cancellation is separately tested and marked as applying or not applying to your specific placements. Our own competitive review of the category, checked against vendor pages on 1 August 2026, found that the professional desktop tools barely treat doshas at all, that the Indian mass-market tools treat them shallowly, and that no product we could find shows the triggering rule and the cancellation logic side by side. Two: the dasha systems say when they do not apply. Eight of the nine are conditional dashas. The classical texts do not apply them to every chart. The tool computes each timeline, then reports whether the condition is met, not met, or cannot be determined from the data held. Three systems deliberately return “cannot determine”. Three: the Ashtakavarga numbers were checked against an outside engine. The bindu output was compared cell by cell against VedAstro’s own production Bhinnashtakavarga across eleven charts spanning 1955 to 2004 and eight countries in both hemispheres. 924 cells, 924 matches. Four: the full report exports as a PDF, free. No watermark, no account, no page limit. In the report-driven part of this market, the long-form PDF is often the product itself rather than a feature of it.
What the tool does not do
An inventory is only useful if it is honest about the gaps.
- No birth-time rectification, no prashna or horary module, and no general muhurta finder.
- No account and no chart history to browse. Charts you choose to save are kept only in your own browser. Once your email is confirmed, the birth details of a chart you make and its headline are kept with your email, so that our emails can fit your chart; Delete my data removes them.
- One ayanamsa, Lahiri. There is no switcher yet.
- North and South Indian chart styles are built; East Indian is not.
- Three of the eight conditional dashas cannot have their applicability determined, because the inputs those conditions need are not computed. The tool says so on the page rather than guessing.
- The dosha engine covers 33 conditions. The classical literature contains more.
- Sade Sati and the Ashtakavarga transit reading depend on a current transit position. Where that is unavailable, the panel says the input is missing instead of printing a result anyway.
- Births in India before 1955 are given the +05:30 offset, because the time-zone database treats all of India as one zone. Before then Bombay kept its own time (about +04:51) and Calcutta its own (about +05:53); if a birth time was noted in local Bombay or Calcutta time, enter the offset yourself.
- Rahu and Ketu are given the special 5th and 9th aspects, as Jupiter has, in the dosha engine. Some traditions give them Saturn’s 3rd and 10th instead, and strict Parashari readings give them only the 7th.
Where sources disagree, the panel names the disagreement. The method page sets out the general rule we follow, and the corrections log records the errors we have found in our own output.

↳ Is this kundali tool actually free, or free until the report?
Free throughout, including the PDF export of the full report. There is no account, no watermark and no page cap. A consultation is mentioned in the output (a card at the top of the results and a short line on a few panels), but nothing is paywalled, blocked or hidden behind it. The remedial guidance is included rather than gated, which is worth stating, because in the Indian report model the remedies and the long PDF are frequently the paid product rather than a free extra.
↳ Do I need to sign up or give an email address?
You need to confirm an email address once, the first time you use a tool on a given device: enter it, type in the 6-digit code we email you, and every tool then unlocks on that device without asking again. There is no password and no account to manage. The chart is worked out in your browser. The email address is stored, to keep the confirmation working and to send the occasional note about new tools, and once it is confirmed the birth date, time and place you enter and the headline of the result are kept with it, so that those emails can fit your chart. You can unsubscribe or delete your data at any time. If you want to keep a chart for yourself, save it in your browser or export the PDF.

The planetary positions are worked out in your browser from the site's own tables calculated from NASA JPL DE440, which agree with it to within a few seconds of arc for births from 1899 to 2075. The Ashtakavarga bindu tables were separately verified against a production engine across eleven charts, 924 cells with 924 matches, and the record of that check is published. The interpretation layers run in your browser in unminified JavaScript, so any rule the tool applies can be read directly.
↳ Which ayanamsa does it use?
Lahiri, the standard sidereal ayanamsa used across Indian Jyotisha. There is no switcher at present, so if you work with Raman, KP or True Chitra the degrees here will differ from your usual output by roughly the difference between those ayanamsas. That is listed as a known limit rather than left for you to discover.
