About this piece
A rock salt lamp is a chunk of mined salt with a bulb inside, resting on a base. This one from Global Aroma is sold as Himalayan salt, listed at about 1.5 kg and 14 cm tall, on a round wooden base with a small brand plate on the front.
It has an E14 bulb holder and a push button switch. Each piece is cut from different salt, so shape and colour vary from the photos. It suits a bedside table, a shelf or a desk as a soft lamp.
How it is used
Used as a soft table lamp or night light at a bedside, on a shelf or on a desk. Vastu advice on placement varies from guide to guide, so check the one you follow.
Looking after it
- Keep it in a dry place, since salt takes up moisture.
- Switch off and unplug before wiping it with a dry cloth.
