About this piece
A set of ten small round brass diyas from Tied Ribbons, each about 6.3 cm (2.5 inches) across and about 2 cm high, with a raised pattern on the rim and an antique brass finish.
They come in a red box, and the seller's photos show cotton wicks packed with them. They suit Diwali, Navratri or daily lamps in a home mandir, and the small size means many can be lit at once.
How it is used
Lit with oil or ghee and a cotton wick on festival evenings, in rows along a shelf, around a rangoli or in the home mandir. Many homes light a few diyas daily and more on festival days.
Looking after it
- Wipe the brass with a soft cloth.
- Wash off old oil with warm soapy water and dry well.
