About this piece
A seated Ganesha in gold-coloured brass, with small blue-green and red pieces set into the crown, the ornaments and the cushion he sits. The brass is polished, and the photos show it on a wooden table with marigolds and warm lights.
The seller lists it from the Jayani collection. One photo shows the underside, which is hollow. The page does not say what the inlay is made of, and it gave no size or weight.
How it is used
Ganesha is worshipped at the start of a puja in many homes, and a small colourful idol like this is often kept on a puja shelf or given as a gift around Diwali.
Looking after it
- Dust with a soft dry cloth.
- Do not soak it, since the inlay can loosen.
