About this piece
A brass dhoop daan, in the large size. The photos show a bowl with a pierced dome lid, a curved handle at the side and a flared stand. The seller says it is a solid brass build and a handcrafted design.
The page lists the weight as 365 g for the large and 190 g for the small. It is sold in both sizes under one listing.
How it is used
The seller says to burn loban or dhoop in it. It also suggests lining the bowl with a pinch of sand or ash before lighting the coal, which spreads the heat, protects the base from scorching and lets you tip out the residue in one go.
Looking after it
- Let the brass cool completely before cleaning.
- The seller says to lift the soot with a dry cloth and a little of the same ash, rather than soap and water.
