About this piece
A Sri Yantra made as a stepped, raised form, often called a Meru or Maha Meru, in brass. The photo shows a gold finish, a square base and tiers narrowing to a peak, with lotus petal layers in the middle.
It is 6.5 cm (2.5 in) tall on a base 9 cm (3.5 in) square, and weighs 425 g. It is small enough for a puja shelf or desk. The seller lists it as handmade.
How it is used
A raised Sri Yantra is usually placed on a clean altar or puja shelf. Many homes keep one in the puja room, sometimes on a small cloth or stand. Ways of worshipping it differ by family and lineage.
