About this piece
An urli is a wide, shallow bowl. This one is made of brass and comes from the Dakshina collection. The photos show a low, rounded bowl with two small handles at the rim and a soft, antique gold finish.
The page gives no size or weight. In the photos it is shown with marigold flowers floating in it, next to a smaller bowl.
How it is used
Many homes fill an urli with water and floating flowers or a floating lamp and keep it near the entrance or in the living room, especially at festivals.
Looking after it
- Wipe with a soft dry cloth.
- Empty and dry it after use.
