About this piece
A small yantra plate in brass. The photos show an aged gold surface with Shri Kuber Yantra in Devanagari along the top, a six pointed star at the centre, and rings of letters and number squares around it.
It measures 8 cm (3.2 in) square, is 0.5 cm thick and weighs 230 g. Kubera is the god of wealth in Hindu tradition and is worshipped as the keeper of treasure. This is a compact plate for a small altar.
How it is used
Many homes keep a Kubera image or yantra in the north, the direction traditionally linked with him. A small plate like this is usually placed on the altar or in the puja room. Practices differ by family, so follow your own teacher's guidance.
