About this piece
A raised Shree Yantra in brass, a form often called a Meru, from Aalayam Selveer. The photos show a gold finish, a stepped square base and tiers rising to a peak. One photo looks down on the lotus petals, and another shows the flat, solid back.
The seller lists 3 inches wide and deep, 2.5 inches tall and 350 g, and says the back is fully solid with no hollow cavity under the base. The seller describes the design as nine interlocking triangles: four pointing up for Shiva and five pointing down for Shakti.
How it is used
A Maha Meru Shree Yantra is usually placed on a clean altar, in the puja room, or in a shop or office. Many people keep it on a cloth or small stand. Worship methods differ by family and lineage.
