About this piece
A small copper Rahu yantra. Rahu is one of the two lunar nodes in Vedic astrology, often called a shadow planet. The photos show a copper plate engraved with a figure of Rahu seated on a mount at the left, a grid of nine numbered squares at the right and Sanskrit text across the top and base.
The seller lists it as 5 cm wide and 5 cm tall, 50 g, with a textured finish. It is one plate.
How it is used
A Rahu yantra is traditionally kept on a puja altar or in a clean place at home. Many people choose a planetary yantra after speaking to an astrologer. Practices differ by family and tradition.
Looking after it
- Dust with a soft dry cloth.
- Copper darkens with time; this is normal.
