About this piece
A brass Ram Darbar, with Rama, Sita, Lakshmana and Hanuman together on one platform under a carved arch topped with a Kirtimukha face. A Kirtimukha is a lion-like face often carved on temple arches.
The finish is a warm gold tone with detailed carving on the clothes and crowns. At 28 cm tall and about 3.8 kg, it suits a home shrine. The photos include close views of the figures and the back.
How it is used
A Ram Darbar is often kept in a home shrine on a clean shelf or altar, with the arch framing the figures. Many homes keep it where the family prays.
Looking after it
