A hand carved Saraswati in grey Orissa stone, standing and holding a veena. The photos show her against a carved arched slab with a flat back, so it is meant to be viewed from the front. The stone is a plain grey with natural variation.

The statue is 20 cm (7.9 in) tall and weighs 2.5 kg. It suits a study shelf, a music corner or a home altar.

How it is used

Saraswati images are often kept where books are read or music is practised, and many homes place one on a study shelf or small altar. Some families place books and instruments near her image during Vasant Panchami.
