About this piece
A 6 inch seated Ganesha idol from SILAII, finished in antique bronze colour with a matt surface. It sits on a round base. The material is not metal: the seller lists raw marble with a binder, and its text says stone powder and resin.
The listed size is 15.2 cm tall, 11.7 cm long and 7.6 cm wide. It is light enough to move easily and suits a shelf, a desk or a small home shrine. The seller also offers a 9 inch size.
How it is used
Ganesha is worshipped at the start of many puja and festivals, and a small idol like this is often kept on a home shrine shelf, a desk or near an entrance. Many families also set one up for Ganesh Chaturthi.
