About this piece
A set of two Nirmalaya dhoop tubes, one of sandalwood and one of jasmine, with 40 sticks in each and 80 in all. The sticks are bambooless, so they are plain brown dhoop rather than sticks on a bamboo core. A ceramic stand comes with the pack.
Nirmalaya says it makes the sticks from flowers collected at places of worship and recycled, and the seller says each stick burns for about 25 minutes. The pack weighs 400 g.
How it is used
Dhoop sticks are lit at the end of a puja or at the start of the day and set upright in the stand in front of the images. The stand holds the stick so that the ash falls into the dish.
