About this piece
This is a mala of five mukhi, or five-faced, rudraksha beads. The beads are 5.5 mm, the smallest of the three sizes we list, and the mala ends in a yellow tassel.
The seller says the beads are selected for quality and are energised at Dhyanalinga, the consecrated space at the seller's yoga center. That is the seller's own process and we cannot check it. The photos show the mala laid out flat, coiled, and close up so the bead surface is clear.
How it is used
A mala like this is used for japa, moving one bead at a time with the thumb, or worn. The Shiva Purana (Vidyeshvara Samhita 25, verses 69 to 70) calls the five-faced bead Rudra himself, named Kalagni. Astrologers today pair this bead with Jupiter (Guru); the pairing is a later convention, not a statement of the Purana, and it is the one this site uses in its rudraksha guide and free kundali.
