Siddhpur, in Patan district of north Gujarat, stands on the Saraswati river and is known as a tirtha for pitru rites. This Pitru Dosh puja, also called Pitru Shanti, is led by a local priest of Siddhpur by the river.
The seller says the sankalp is taken in your name and gotra, and its team checks your ancestors' details with you on WhatsApp before the puja. Prayers are traditionally addressed to Bhagwan Vishnu and Bhagwan Shiv on behalf of the pitrs.
How it is used
The seller names Pitru Paksha as the traditional time, with Amavasya and above all Mahalaya Amavasya also chosen, and some families prefer an ancestor's death anniversary. Once you book, the date is agreed with you on WhatsApp.
