About this piece

A 3 mukhi rudraksha has three natural faces. This is a single bead from Nepal. The seller's size guide puts Nepal beads between 14 mm for small and 40 mm for collector grade, with an average of 20 mm.

The seller lists Om Kleem Namah as the beej mantra. The photos show a round, textured bead on a pale ground, and a heap of beads from the same grade.

How it is used

Rudraksha beads are traditionally worn or used for japa, repeating a mantra. This is a loose bead, so it is for stringing or keeping as you choose. The Shiva Purana (Vidyeshvara Samhita 25, verse 67) names no deity for the three-faced bead; the Devi Bhagavata likens it to Agni, the fire. Astrologers today pair this bead with Mars (Mangal); the pairing is a later convention, not a statement of the Purana, and it is the one this site uses in its rudraksha guide and free kundali.
