About this piece
A round pendant in pure silver, from the Navagraha (nine planets) series. Chandra is the Moon. The photo shows both sides: a seated figure on the front, and on the reverse a square number grid with text around the edge.
The seller lists it as 999 fineness silver, 2.5 cm (1 in) across and 10 g. The photo shows the pendant only, without a chain.
How it is used
Pendants of this kind are worn on a chain, close to the body. In tradition each planet has its own image and yantra, and a pendant like this carries both. Many people choose one with an astrologer's advice.
Looking after it
- Wipe with a soft dry cloth.
- Store away from damp, which can tarnish silver.
