About this piece

A brass oil lamp, named for Linga Bhairavi, the form of the Devi consecrated at the seller's yoga center in Coimbatore. The seller describes hand-carvings of the Devi with a serpent in the background. In the photo a tall carved arch rises behind a small flame bowl, in warm copper-toned brass.

The seller calls it strong and sturdy. The page gives no size, weight or fuel, so check with the seller before ordering.

How it is used

The seller suggests lighting it in your place of worship every day. As with any oil lamp, use oil or ghee and a cotton wick on a flat, heat-safe surface away from curtains.

Looking after it

  • Let it cool before cleaning.
  • Wipe with a soft dry cloth.
