About this piece
Durga is shown in her usual form here, seated on a lion with many arms raised and a tall crown. The brass is gold-coloured with a hand-finished look, and the lion and the base carry fine line detail. One photo shows the idol beside incense smoke and flowers.
It is from the Jayani collection and is described as handcrafted. The page gave no size or weight.
How it is used
Durga is worshipped through the nine nights of Navratri in many homes, and an idol like this is placed on a puja shelf or altar for that.
Looking after it
- Dust with a soft dry cloth.
- Use a soft brush for the carved detail.
