About this piece
This mala uses beads of southern sandalwood, 4 mm across, strung on thread with a knot between the beads. A sumeru bead, the larger bead where the count begins, and a tassel finish it.
The seller says it is made from choice wood with a lasting fragrance, in limited quantity, and that it can be worn, used for japa or offered to deities. The photos show the mala in warm orange tan with a yellow tassel. They are small, around 540 pixels wide.
How it is used
The seller says the mala can be worn, used for japa, or offered to deities. For japa, count one bead at a time with the thumb and stop at the sumeru bead rather than crossing it. Sandalwood is also given as a mark of welcome.
