About this piece
This is a brass singing bowl. The outside is dark with gold Tibetan letters, and the inside shows the bare golden brass. A plain wooden stick comes with it.
Singing bowls have long been used with meditation in India, Tibet, Nepal and other parts of Asia. The seller says bowls like this are used each day at Dhyanalinga in the offering of sound. The seller does not give the size or weight, so check the photos for proportions.
How it is used
Singing bowls are played by striking the rim lightly or by circling the stick around it, so the bowl sounds a long note. Many people use them to begin or end a meditation. Rest the bowl on a cushion or flat palm.
Looking after it
