About this piece
A round zafu cushion for sitting, with a dark green cotton cover filled with buckwheat hulls. The cover has a hidden zip, so the filling can be added or taken out, and the seller says it has a handle for carrying.
The seller gives the size as about 12 inches across and 5 to 5.5 inches high. It is made in India by NutriBuck. A zafu raises the hips for sitting cross legged on the floor during meditation or japa.
How it is used
A zafu is placed on the floor, often on a mat, and the sitter sits on its front edge with the legs folded in front. Buckwheat hulls shift to fit the body, and the zip lets you adjust the fill.
Looking after it
- The seller says the cover can be washed.
- Take the filling out before washing.
