About this piece
The Retrospec Sedona is a zafu, the round or crescent cushion used to raise the hips for floor sitting. This one is crescent shaped, in a purple the seller calls Mulberry, with a 100 percent cotton cover.
The seller says it is filled with buckwheat hulls, and the inner compartment unzips so you can add or remove hulls to change the firmness. The cover is machine washable and a handle is sewn on for carrying. The photos show the cushion alone, in the park and with the fill. It is.
How it is used
A zafu is placed on a mat and sat on at its front edge, so the hips sit higher than the knees for long sittings. Many people use one for meditation, japa or yoga. Add or remove hulls to change the height and firmness.
Looking after it
- Machine wash the cover, as the seller advises.
- Keep the hulls dry.
