About this piece
A yoga mat woven from sambu straw and jute. The photos show a light straw-coloured mat with fine woven stripes, rolled and flat, with a close view of the weave.
The seller says the lower surface is coated with natural rubber to stop it sliding, and that the mat is biodegradable and light enough to carry. The page we read does not give a size or weight.
How it is used
A woven mat like this is laid on the floor for yoga, pranayama or sitting meditation, and rolled up afterwards. Straw mats have been used for sitting in India for a long time.

- Wipe with a damp cloth and let it dry fully before rolling.
- Keep out of long damp and direct sun.
