About this service
An abhishekam is the ritual bathing of a deity's image with sacred materials while mantras are chanted. At the Anjaneyar Temple in Namakkal, the seller says, water, milk, curd, honey, ghee, tender coconut water and sandal paste are among the materials offered in turn, as the temple prescribes. The image is then dressed and decorated before archana and aarti.
The temple's priests perform it for you, naming you and up to three others, with gotra, in the sankalp. The temple receipt or a confirmation comes on WhatsApp afterwards.
How it is used
The seller lists Saturdays and Tuesdays as traditional days for Hanuman worship and Hanuman Jayanti as the festival of his birth. A birth star or a temple festival day at Namakkal is also given as a choice. The exact date is worked out with you on WhatsApp.
