About this piece
A loose 11 mukhi rudraksha bead of the small grade, from Java in Indonesia. The photos show one oval bead with deep ridges, seen from the face, from the side and along its hole, against a cream cloth.
As a loose bead it can be strung on a cord, or kept in a puja space.
How it is used
A loose bead is usually threaded on a cord for the neck or wrist, or kept on an altar. The seller gives a short bija mantra on its page. The Shiva Purana (Vidyeshvara Samhita 25, verse 77) names Rudra for the eleven-faced bead; the Devi Bhagavata names the eleven Rudras. Our rudraksha guide pairs this bead with no planet.
