About this piece
An eleven mukhi rudraksha has eleven natural lines. The seller sells this one as a collector grade bead from Nepal, number CLXXXII of its collector series.
The photos show a round bead with finely cut ridges and a dark centre, on cream cloth. The caliper photo reads 30 mm.
How it is used
Rudraksha beads are traditionally strung on a cord or set in a pendant, or kept on a home altar. Many devotees chant a mantra with them. The seller lists the beej mantra for this bead. The Shiva Purana (Vidyeshvara Samhita 25, verse 77) names Rudra for the eleven-faced bead; the Devi Bhagavata names the eleven Rudras. Our rudraksha guide pairs this bead with no planet.
