About this piece
A thirteen mukhi rudraksha has thirteen natural lines. The seller sells this one as a collector grade bead from Nepal, number CXLV of its collector series.
The photos show a small rounded bead set against a green and turquoise background, so the bead itself looks small in the frame. The caliper photo reads 30 mm.
How it is used
Rudraksha beads are traditionally strung on a cord or set in a pendant, or kept on a home altar. Many devotees chant a mantra with them. The seller lists the beej mantra Om Hreem Namah for this bead. The Shiva Purana (Vidyeshvara Samhita 25, verse 79) names the Vishvedevas for the thirteen-faced bead; the Devi Bhagavata names Kamadeva. Our rudraksha guide pairs this bead with no planet.
