About this piece
A copper urli from the Copper Settings collection of the seller Coppre. An urli is a wide, shallow bowl meant for floating flowers, petals or small lamps.
The photos show a bright copper finish and a flat rim around a shallow well. In the pictures it is set with marigolds, jasmine and a lit lamp on a wooden table, and with a lotus among petals.
How it is used
Urlis are traditionally filled with water and decorated with floating flowers, petals and small lamps. Many homes set one near the entrance, on a festival table or beside the shrine.
Looking after it
- Wipe dry after use.
- Copper darkens with time; a soft dry cloth keeps it tidy.
