About this piece
The Teak Leaf uruli is a shallow bowl that the seller describes as a holder for floating flowers, petals and lamps.
The photo shows a textured gold-toned bowl with a cluster of leaves wrapping around one side of the rim. It measures 18.42 cm across and 5.72 cm high, and weighs 722 g, so it is a small piece for a side table or shrine shelf.
How it is used
An uruli is traditionally filled with water and used to float flowers, petals or small lamps. Many homes keep one on a table, at an entrance or near the shrine, particularly at festival time.
Looking after it
- Empty the water after use and wipe the bowl dry.
