About this piece
This set has three hammered brass kadhais, each with a glass lid. They are a 1.5 L round-base, a 3 L round-base and a 3 L flat-base pan. The seller says the brass is lined with food-safe tin. The photos show a golden hammered outside and a silver-coloured inside.
The 1.5 L is 14 x 9.75 x 4 in, and both 3 L pans are 16 x 11 x 4 in. It suits a home that wants smaller and larger pans for different meals.
How it is used
A kadhai is the pan used for curries, vegetables and frying in Indian kitchens. A round base suits slow stirring and a flat base sits steadily on a stove. Use a wooden or silicone spoon.
