About this piece
Nirmalaya's Mysore sandalwood (chandan) agarbatti in a pack of 40 sticks, each 24 cm long. Nirmalaya says it makes its incense from flowers collected at places of worship and recycled. The seller says the sticks are charcoal free and each burns for about 25 minutes.
The photos show a slim flat box with brown sticks and a wooden holder in one frame. This suits a household that wants a sandalwood fragrance in a smaller pack.
How it is used
Agarbatti are lit at the end of a puja, during meditation or yoga, or to scent a room, and placed in a stand away from anything that burns. Sandalwood is a classic fragrance for the prayer room.
