About this piece
A six mukhi rudraksha has six natural faces. The seller lists this one as a Nepali bead of about 18 mm and says it is lab tested and certified, with a certificate linked from the product page.
The photos show a dark brown bead with deep lines on a wooden surface, and one in a hand for scale.
How it is used
Rudraksha beads are traditionally strung on a cord or set in a pendant, or kept on a home altar. The seller lists the traditional mantra Om Hreem Hum Namah for this bead. The Shiva Purana (Vidyeshvara Samhita 25, verse 71) names Kartikeya for the six-faced bead. Astrologers today pair this bead with Venus (Shukra); the pairing is a later convention, not a statement of the Purana, and it is the one this site uses in its rudraksha guide and free kundali.
Looking after it
- The seller suggests cleaning it with a soft dry brush rather than detergent.
- If it gets damp, let it air dry completely.
