About this piece
A bracelet strung with rudraksha beads that the seller lists as 7 mukhi and from Nepal. The photos show a ring of about a dozen rough, round beads in a warm brown, laid on cream silk, propped on a small stand and held in an open palm.
It is sold here in a small size and is meant to be worn on the wrist like any bracelet. The page does not give bead size or the stringing material.
How it is used
Rudraksha is worn on the wrist or neck and used to count mantras in many homes. The seller describes this bracelet as made for comfortable daily wear. The Shiva Purana (Vidyeshvara Samhita 25, verse 72) names Ananga, that is Kama, for the seven-faced bead. Astrologers today pair this bead with Saturn (Shani); the pairing is a later convention, not a statement of the Purana, and it is the one this site uses in its rudraksha guide and free kundali.
