About this piece
A bracelet of round rudraksha beads that the seller lists as 7 mukhi. The beads have the deep, rough texture of the seed, with natural lines running from end to end. They are strung on elastic, so the bracelet slips over the hand and the seller says it fits most wrist sizes.
One photo shows it on a wooden ledge, and another on a wrist.
How it is used
Many people wear a rudraksha bracelet daily or use the beads to count mantras. Count the lines on a bead when it arrives: a 7 mukhi has seven. The Shiva Purana (Vidyeshvara Samhita 25, verse 72) names Ananga, that is Kama, for the seven-faced bead. Astrologers today pair this bead with Saturn (Shani); the pairing is a later convention, not a statement of the Purana, and it is the one this site uses in its rudraksha guide and free kundali.
Looking after it
- Keep it dry, and wipe off perfume and oil with a soft cloth.
- Elastic wears with time, so take it off before heavy work.
