About this piece
This gift set has four katoris (small bowls) and four spoons. The seller describes the finish as plain golden outside and silver (tin) inside, and says the set comes in a wooden gift box.
Each bowl is 10.16 cm across and 3.81 cm high, and weighs 0.115 kg. The page does not name the metal, and a tin lining suggests the bowls are brass. It suits a gift, or a set of small bowls for dal, curd or sweets.
How it is used
Katoris are the small bowls set on a thaali for dal, vegetables, curd or sweets. A boxed set is often given as a gift.
Looking after it
- Wash by hand with mild soap.
- Avoid scratching the tin inside.
