Tulsi, or holy basil, is a plant with a long place in Indian homes and gardens. This Organic India blend combines tulsi with ginger root as a loose-leaf herbal infusion, sold in a 100 g tin with an orange and green label.
The seller says it is certified organic and caffeine free. The photos show the tin on its own, on a plinth, with scattered leaves and ginger, and beside a cup on a tray.
How it is used
The seller says to put one teaspoon in a cup (120 ml), pour boiling water over it and let it steep for 3 to 5 minutes. For iced tea the seller says to double the amount.
Looking after it
- Close the tin after each use and keep it dry.
