About this piece
A seated Tirthankara in brass, made by hand in India. The photos show a simple, rounded figure with crossed legs and hands in the lap, on a plain stepped base, with a small mark on the chest.
At 11 cm tall it is small, but at 1.1 kg it has some weight. The seller lists three colours: Alluring Silver, Gold and Super Antique, and the photos show all three.
How it is used
Many Jain homes keep a Tirthankara image in a small, clean shrine and start the day there with a lamp and a short prayer. A piece this size is placed on a shelf or compact altar.
